Nicole Choate
Private Voice
Instructor

Nicole Choate is so excited to teach voice at the Acting Studio this year! Nicole graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre. Post-grad, she has continued learning from some of the greats in New York (Matt Farnsworth; Jen Waldman) as well as in the DFW area (Brian Schexnayder). Nicole’s heart for teaching voice is to help each student unlock every part of his/her voice to become a well-rounded singer who can seamlessly use the voice to tell a story. Through her personal journey of vocal development, Nicole has discovered that one does not have to choose between belting and singing classically, and her dream is to help others sing any style with versatility and ease! Favorite roles played recently include Mary Poppins (“Mary Poppins”), and Grace (“Annie”). Nicole has also worked in the commercial industry over the past year, and can be seen in advertisements for companies including American Girl, Zaxby’s, and Dallas County Community College.
