HOW TO SIGN UP & PAY FOR CLASSES
Classes start on August 16, 2021!
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We have new, strict safety protocols in place to help protect students, staff, and their families. You can find those protocols outlined here.
While we are confident in these measures, of course, we cannot guarantee prevention or protection from communicable diseases. As such, we also have a specific liability release related to COVID-19 that students attending any in-person events, classes, camps, lessons, etc. must agree to. You can read the full release here. Please know that your enrollment and registration in any in-person event constitutes your full agreement to this release. If you have any questions prior to enrolling, please don’t hesitate to contact our General Manager.
Studio Director is the software system we use to handle all class registration & tuition payments. You will register your Studio Director account at the home studio location of your choice. Each family can have multiple children on the same Studio Director account, but note that you must have a separate Studio Director account for our productions (because Acting Studio Productions is a registered nonprofit with separate financials).
Follow the prompts on Studio Director to find and enroll your student(s) in his/her classes.
When it’s time to check out, you’ll add your credit card information and pay. Please note that when you first register, we charge a one-time registration fee. After this initial payment, we will automatically charge your credit card on file on the 1st of each month for the total monthly cost of your combined tuition for all students on your account. We do offer package discounts for our Triple Threat students, as well as for students taking more than 2 hours of classes per week. If you need help registering or aren’t sure which package you might be eligible for, please don’t hesitate to call your studio office. We’ll be glad to get you signed up!
We do not bill by the class. The Acting Studio operates on a 36-week curriculum season from mid-August through May, like a typical school, and we charge your family’s Studio Director account on the 1st of each month. For students who are registered by the time our season begins in mid-August, here’s how billing works:
August: You will be automatically billed a pro-rated amount for August classes on the first day of classes for the year.
September – May: You are billed full tuition on the 1st of each month. We do not pro-rate for holiday closures. See our Policies page for details.
When you enroll, you’ll pay a $40 registration fee that covers all class enrollment for the season. You’ll also pay a pro-rated tuition for your first month of classes.
We charge your payment information on file with Studio Director each month from September through May on the 1st of each month, regardless of the day of week.
Absolutely! We offer Triple Threat package pricing for our conservatory students, as well as multi-class discounts for students taking more than 2 hours of classes per week. Check out the button on this page for Triple Threat pricing, and please call your studio office for Triple Threat enrollment or multi-class discount assistance. A 10% sibling discount is automatically applied when you register more than one student per family on Studio Director.
Our office staff is happy to help you take care of any changes or cancellations you need to make to your class schedule. Please call or email your studio location for assistance. Note that we do not typically offer refunds of tuition payments should you decide to drop a class. If for any reason management decides to refund your tuition due to extenuating circumstances, refunds may take up to 30 days and will be mailed to you in the form of a check minus a $25 facilitation and processing fee.
Yes, but we highly recommend that students take a full season’s curriculum to get the maximum benefit of the class. Our classes are designed on a 36-week curriculum, and students make progression throughout the year. We also offer parent showcases mid-season and at the end of each season to demonstrate what students have learned throughout the course. If you’re not sure about timing and when to join, please call your studio office for help.
Your Studio Director account used for our productions is entirely separate from your Studio Director account used for class tuition, so you will need 2 accounts. We regret any inconvenience, but Acting Studio Productions is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization, and as such, all financials are separate from the Acting Studio school. Keeping your accounts separate helps ensure proper division of payments. If you need help making sure you’ve got both accounts set up properly, just give the office a call.
Sure! When you register on our Studio Director system, you’ll receive a Welcome email that will include instructions on how to select a free trial class. (Hint: If you don’t get the Welcome email, check your junk or spam folders.)
Students accepted into our Triple Threat Conservatory program will be notified via email and advised of the specific required courses they must take for the year, so please don’t try to register before you know which classes you need. In addition, Triple Threat and other package pricing discounts are not readily available on Studio Director, so please call the office to have a staff member register your student and ensure the proper pricing is applied.
All tuition prices are per student. Package prices are also per student, meaning one student must take more than 2 hours of classes per week (not a combined family total of 2 hours).
Of course. Just call your studio office and we’ll make sure you are given the appropriate pricing.
