Alumni Perspective: On my own journey...

The following was contributed by Acting Studio alum Lauren Dagar, who graduated in May 2018:

“The studio means more to me than anything I’ve ever been a part of. I met my best friends there, who eventually became my family. I learned so many life skills through stage skills that have helped me become who I am and what I believe in.

One of the life skills that has stuck with me since day one is that ‘everyone is on their own journey.’ Before going to the studio, I was always comparing myself to everyone I saw. Once learning that everyone is on their own specific journey, not only artistically but also intellectually, I began to see the value in my talents and all that I offer to people in professional and studious settings. The studio helped me find my passion for helping people through the Once Upon a Time Benefit and for that, I am eternally grateful.

I hope that everyone who walks into the studio feels the love and support that I did the 7 years I attended. The people you meet there are truly so amazing, full of love, care, wisdom, and so much more to offer. They changed my life for the better. It is the easiest and happiest hello, but by far the hardest goodbye. The studio will always hold a special place in my heart, along with each and every person I met there.

Sending my love,

Lauren Dagar
